Furano Ski Area operates a system of gates that provide access to unpatrolled, out-of-bounds areas. For suitably experienced and equipment included skiers and snowboarders, these areas can be accessed readily from our location.

Skiing our of the gates of Furano Resort is possible if your plans are first registered on the day with the Furano Ski Patrol.

Within a 90 minutes drive radius of Furano and our location, some of the best backcountry skiing and snowboarding areas in Japan can be accessed. Guided day trips into these areas are available and we will be pleased to assist with advice, recommendations and bookings.
