Cafe Goryo - Converted Barn Decor

Housed in a converted barn, and located on the outskirts of Furano, just a short distance from Furano Lofts in the rural district of Kamigoryo, this rustic vegetarian café is one of our favourite local eateries.

A rotating, daily selection of 3 vegetarian mains and 2 desserts is offered, featuring delicious organic produce, lovingly prepared by the owner-chef who, with her husband, travels the world to find inspiration for her menu.

A significant percentage of the produce used is home-grown, in the fields that surround the café. Diners are able to gaze out over these fields as they enjoy the unique farm to table experience.

Dishes offered may include a vibrant green vegetable curry, a creamy mushroom stroganoff, and the café's famous 'Goryo Sandwich' served on house-baked panini. The desserts of the day may include a velvety chocolate cake with homemade ice cream or lightly-spiced pumpkin cheesecake. The drinks list offers beer and wine options, plus a refreshingly different selection of non-alcoholic beverages such as a rich, hot lemon and ginger tea, a delicious and generously large chai latte and an interesting, caffeine laced Vietnamese coffee, that comes with instructions on how to combine its various parts!

A small gift shop section also offers a range of quality hand made goods, writing paper and other small and very gift-able stationery items, organic honey, a house blend of dukkah, and curry powder, including a Hokkaido 'soup curry' blend.
